Joy will come, of this I am certain.
Even though in these moments I can’t see beyond my pain, I believe that joy will come.
It will because You promised.
“Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy” (Psalm 126:5).
With these trials a sense of anticipation, wrapped in great hope, helps me to persevere.
When I don’t know what to do, Your peace, which is beyond understanding, fills me in ways indescribable.
The joy of the Lord is my strength.
You cover me and keep me in Your loving presence.
For as deep as this heart-wrenching season takes me, I know that You are there.
You are deeper still.
Your love and compassion will never leave me.
I will enter into the peace of Your presence as I rest in You.
You are my joy and delight now and forever.
“I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD” (Psalm 27:13-14).
Because You are, joy will come again.
It will.
