About Leukodystrophies

There are over 50 identified Leukodystrophies, which are genetic, progressive disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord and nervous systems.  Alone, each Leukodystrophy may be considered rare, but as a group, Leukodystrophies affect approximately 1 in 4700 individuals.
