Why can’t everything work out?
Why does life have to be like this?
Why must we endure painful trials and temptations?
I want life to be different.
I don’t want to suffer, and I don’t want my loved ones to suffer.
I don’t want a superficial marriage full of selfishness and strife.
I’m so tired of bad news, death, and destruction.
War and conflict are everywhere.
There is no escape. This world is broken.
I am broken.
But You, O Lord, have come to heal the brokenhearted.
You have come to bind up our wounds.
You have come to strengthen the weak and guide the wayward.
Jesus, You defeated death on the cross so that life won’t always be like this.
Because of Your great love, we can know true and lasting LOVE.
You were broken for me so that in my brokenness I can run to You.
Because of Your suffering, someday there will be no more pain and no more tears.
We can bring our broken hearts and open wounds to You because You are greater than all this world has to offer.
We can surrender our desires to You, Lord, for You are greater than our hearts and You know everything.
Thank You for allowing me to pour out my frustrations and fears before You.
You understand me.
Thank You, Jesus, for taking the broken pieces of my life to form a tapestry of glory.
Only You can do the impossible.
