“Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God” (Psalm 90:1-2).

In You, I am safe.

I am home.

I start and end in You.

This moment, this life, is a vapor.

I am here today and gone tomorrow.

The troubles of this world and the concerns on my heart will be no more.

All will be made new.

I will be home at last.

I will be in Your presence for all eternity, where time does not exist.

Who can fathom this?

Who can comprehend what it will be like to see You face-to-face?

Just the thought of it overwhelms me.

I long to be with You where I am fully Yours.

I crave the perfection and beauty of my heavenly home.

I delight in the thought of worshipping You with a pure heart and mind.

I rejoice that every day is one day closer to that day.

I’m desperate for You, Jesus.

While I wait, please help me to be mindful that I’m home in You now.

As I anticipate what’s to come, I can rest in You now.

You are not far from me at all, for in You I live, move, and have my being.

Thank You, Jesus.
