Who am I that I should question You?
“‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the LORD.
‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts’” (Isaiah 55:8).
But my mind is racing with questions and pierced with doubt.
My heart is full of sorrow.
And I long to know why this has happened.
I can’t live like this, Lord.
I don’t think I can endure this trial any longer.
This burden is dreadfully heavy.
Did You turn away when I needed You?
When will this onslaught of doubt disappear?
How long will You wait to lift this?
Until You do, I will rest in You.
I will rest in Your love and grace.
I will hide in the shadow of Your perfect peace.
I will trust in the providence of Your presence.
I will dive into the depths of Your love.
