“Praise be to the LORD my Rock…He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge” (Psalm 144:1-2).
I have nowhere else to go but into Your arms.
There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than close to where I can hear Your heartbeat.
I hide myself in Your unfailing love.
The crushing weight I find myself under right now is not too heavy for You.
I can’t carry this burden…but You can and You will.
You have shown me such kindness, and You have kept me from falling.
In the shadows I can still see Your light shine forth like the dawn.
The snare set before me will cause me no harm because You are with me and You will keep me from stumbling.
Though this anguish continues to bring me down, Your peace will be my comfort.
You will rescue me because You love me.
“In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.
From the depths of the grave I called for help, and you listened to my cry” (Jonah 2:2).
When I was on my knees, crying out to You in my sea of pain, You reached down and grabbed hold of me.
Thank You, Lord.
Your goodness overwhelms me.
